Many creators think that getting hundreds of thousands of subscribers is the barometer for success. What if I told you, the bar was in fact much lower than you think?

- Less than 5% are monetized.
- 88% of videos up to 2020 never broke 1000 views.
- 100k subscriber creators are in the elite .3%
- 1 Million subscriber creators are in the MEGA ELITE .03%
Observations:
These stats SHOULD be surprising to most people because all we see when we scroll through our feeds are the biggest creators in each niche. The curve is very tilted towards already established creators, and for good reason. They usually have established themselves through years of effort and sometimes significant investment. Can you compete, yes. But should you expect to do so in your first video? No.
